My first full day in Norway turned into an epic impromptu walking tour as I let my curiosity get the better of my feet and let myself wander.

I found out about and booked this trip a year ago on the recommendation of a couple I met in Buenos Aires. I’m so glad I did! And I’m so thankful for the fellow guests who rounded out our crew.

Almost everyone tells me to visit teh Vasa Museum, and so I make it the focus of my first full day in Stockholm.

On my last full day in Seoul I take a trip to the Natinal Museum.

A tour of Imgingak Park, the third infiltration tunnel, and a panoramic glimpse into North Korea.

I spend my last day in Gyeongju revisiting the National Museum, relaxing in coffee shops in the center, and touring the Donggung Palace by night..

A day spent on tour in and around Gyeongju, including the Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple, finishing with tea in a traditional teahouse.

With a free weekend in South Korea I decide to decamp from Seoul and head south to visit the ancient capital of the Silla Dynasty.

The Dongdaemun Design Plaza, the Namsangol Hanok Village, and a return visit to the Sinsa-dong neighborhood.

My first full day in Seoul I visit castles and coffee shops, jumping between the historic and modern seemingly from block to block.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Asia and longer still that I’ve been able to enjoy a night market. And so, after checking into my hotel, I make a beeline to the one in Myeongdong to see what I can eat.

My cousin let me tag along with her family on this trip to the Maldives and I’m forever thankful. The weather didn’t quite cooperate, but we didn’t let it dampen our spirits. It’s still an amazing part of the world.
